ARC NAMES MARKETING VP
Arc International has named Mitchell Kon vice president of marketing and product development, a post that has been created as part of the company's restructuring plan. He reports to Susan Saideman, chief executive officer of Arc, and will be overseeing all of Arc's brands -- Mikasa, Luminarc, Cristal D'Arques, Studio Nova and Salviati.
Prior to joining Arc, Kon held positions at Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson and Sara Lee.
GLEASON LEAVES GROUP 3 FOR NIKE
Mary Gleason, president and chief executive officer of Group 3 Design, which manages the Royal Velvet and Cannon brands, has left the company to join a Nike subsidiary. Group 3 was unavailable for comment.
