NEW YORK-Brad Anderson, Best Buy chief executive officer and vice chairman, detailed the company's publicized "customer-centricity" expansion plans and tied the effort to the use of digital technology.
Anderson opened his keynote speech at the DigitalLife show earlier this month at New York's Jacob Javits Convention Center by proclaiming that "we see ourselves as the evangelists for the digital life."
He explained that the big-box consumer electronics retailer, whose sales have been largely driven by digital audio and video, is pushing to "find a way to connect the individual talent of employees to customer segment using digital technology."
