It's getting uncomfortably expensive to get a comfortable night's sleep these days.

Despite the best efforts of mattress manufacturers to raise tickets -- and consumer awareness of the benefits of luxury bedding sets -- many consumers just aren't buying it.

According to 400 consumers queried in a recent online poll, the high cost of good mattresses is the single-most common complaint among people shopping for bedding.

And when asked to specify their preferred price range for a mattress to be placed in the master bedroom, two-thirds pointed to the two lowest ranges.

Even those ranges may not be low enough.

"I just recently went shopping for mattresses and I was shocked at the prices!"...
