NEW YORK-George Little Management is "thrilled" with the proposed expansion of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center here, said Jeff Little, president of GLM.
The $1.4 billion expansion of the state-owned building was confirmed last week when New York State Legislature passed a bill approving it. The plans include an extra 400,000 square feet of convention space, 256,000 square feet of meeting space, and 86,000 square feet of new ballroom space and a 1,500-room hotel in the first phase of the expansion.
"We have been working toward getting this done for a long time," said Little, who was "very involved" in pushing for the expansion.
Little served on advocacy groups "for years" to promote the Javits expansion...
