YORK, Pa.-With the absorption of Elder Beerman mostly behind him, Byron "Bud" Bergren, president and chief executive officer of Bon-Ton Stores, is focusing on maximizing the strengths of each department store chain and pulling off a solid fourth quarter.
It's been four months since Bergren took the top spot at the $926 million retailer after serving as vice chairman. Prior to joining the 141-unit chain, Bergren was president and CEO of Elder-Beerman Stores, which Bon-Ton acquired in 2003.
