CHICAGO-Scale manufacturers are pushing the boundaries of measurements with scales and body-fat monitors that do nearly everything but actually diet for consumers.
New scales being shown at this week's International Home & Housewares Show here measure hydration, bone minerals, Body Mass Index and numerous other factors to try give consumers a better picture of their overall health -- something vendors say is increasingly important as more people are aware of obesity issues and other health aspects.
