The hippest dinning experience in New York has to be Danny Meyer's newest venture, The Modern, the restaurant at the Museum of Modern Art. It is also a mecca for design junkies of all stripes. The space, designed by Peter Bentel of Bentel & Bentel, was inspired by the Bauhaus movement and is filled with Danish furnishings and accessories. There's no problem if you fall in love with a plate or chair: All of the pieces are available for sale in the museum's store to make recreating the experience at home a snap.
