BON-TON, CERBERUS SAKS SUITORS?
The Northern department store division of Saks Inc. could be jointly acquired by Bon-Ton Stores and Cerberus Capital Management, according to Women's Wear Daily, HFN's sister publication.
As earlier reported, Bon-Ton and Cerberus were individually interested in purchasing the division.
Bain Capital Partners, Thomas H. Lee Partners and Apollo Management are said to be the other interested parties.
The $2.2 billion Northern department store group of Saks Inc. includes the Carson Pirie Scott, Younker's and Bergner's chains.
Earlier this year, Saks Inc. sold its Southern department store division to Belk.
