According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Mark Wattles, chairman and chief executive officer of Ultimate Electronics, increased his ownership in Tweeter by 1.7 percent to 11.4 percent, following press time for the Consumer Electronics section (see story, page 84). Attached to the filing was a letter to Tweeter's board of directors requesting that the company "consider raising additional capital through the sale of equity" and that he may be interested in providing this additional capital.
