THORNTON, Colo.-Leather chairs, wall units and coffee tables are all items found in a typical home furnishings retail catalog, but usually not in the pages of an electronics retailer's holiday book. Ultimate Electronics, however, is breaking the mold as it attempts to push further into furniture.
The 30-store electronics retailer is featuring furniture in its holiday catalog for the first time as part of a larger strategy to push furniture sales. Another first in furniture: Ultimate Electronics is offering immediate delivery of select Encore Home Entertainment home theater seating, which it's storing in warehouses.
