ATLANTA-In response to attendee demand, AmericasMart Atlanta has expanded its AmericasMart University program for the July International Area Rug Market.
Jeffrey Portman, president of AmericasMart Atlanta parent AMC, said the expanded schedule is the result of attendee feedback.
"January AMU was a home run," Portman said. "All classes were packed."
Portman said AmericasMart started small with its educational program to be sure it was targeting the proper areas for attendees. The plan was met with enthusiasm and requests for more. That said, the schedule for this month's University includes several additional intermediate options, and Portman said advanced classes are to come in the near future.
