The Web: Goodyear Revisits, National City Embarks.(Goodyear Tire and Rubber; National City Bank)(Brief Article)

Two Northeast Ohio business mainstays put their best foot forward on the Internet in September. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. completely redesigned its Web site, Goodyear.com, making it easy for users to get to the tool they use most: the dealer locator. Goodyear also is kicking the tires on its impending e-commerce Web site that will allow customers to schedule vehicle maintenance and purchase tires online.
Meanwhile, National City Bank launched NCautochannel.com to ease the car-purchasing process for both dealers and customers. Customers can receive price quotes from one of nearly 4,200 National City-affiliated dealers, calculate loan payments and compare retail and wholesale vehicle prices.
