Hapless PR e-mails, vol. 5

Internal Medicine News, August 15, 2007 by John R. Bell

The Bureau of Indications has received exciting news about a line of skin care products that purportedly use "the health benefits of fermented grape extracts." Davi Skin Inc. was founded in part by the grandson of Robert Mondavi and is now selling its products in London's Selfridges & Co. department store.

Flavonoids, polyphenols, and skin health? Makes sense. But there's no hassle with the insurance company if one simply uses a shallow pan filled with cheap merlot and a flexible straw for breathing purposes. "I'm not inebriated--I'm exfoliated."
