Software Engineering Consultants, a LANSA business partner, says its GTIN Builder--a Windows-based tool for Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) management--eases data aggregation problems that companies face when preparing data for publication to the UCCnet GLOBALregistry (now the GS1 Global Registry).

GTIN Builder uses a GUI and well-known applications to collect data from Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, and iSeries databases. Users then cleanse the data and import it to GTIN Builder, which assigns GTINs based on user definitions.
