Manufacturing performance management vendor Invistics received its second Phase I award from the National Science Foundation (NSF), bringing total grants from the organization to more than $1.2 million. Invistics offers Flow Path Management System, which allows high-mix manufacturers such as pharmaceutical companies to apply improvement techniques to environments with significant variability.

"The Invistics solution capitalizes on innovative mathematical techniques that advance the knowledge base of operations research for the benefit of complex manufacturers," says Cheryl Albus, NSF program manager.
