SATO's XML-enabled e Series printers now output RFID and bar-code labels based on data from the SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure component of the SAP NetWeaver platform, without middleware. The printers serve users of warehouse management, supply chain and logistics. and inventory applications. Also announced SATO will acquire Checkpoint Systems' Bar Code Systems businesses, with operations in North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe.
The deal includes handheld labeling solutions.
