CA seeks to unify IT management under EITM vision.(SHARED SERVICES)

Computer Associates is a familiar name to IT professionals who use products such as the Unicenter solution for network and systems management. But with its rebranding late last year under the name CA, the company is pursuing a new direction. It revolves around a concept CA calls Enterprise IT Management, or EITM, says Nigel Turner, a senior VP.
EITM is supported by the CA Integration Platform, a set of shared ser vices for IT management, including a consistent user experience, integrated workflows, common policies, and integrated data enabled by a centralized management database (MDB).
