* ED Appointment: President Bush has appointed David Dunn as the acting under secretary of education, where he will oversee policies, programs and activities for vocational and adult education, postsecondary education and student financial aid. Dunn has been chief of staff to Education Secretary Margaret Spellings since January 2005, and he will continue those responsibilities as well.
Bush also has announced plans to nominate Michell Clark as assistant secretary for management at the Education Department. Clark currently is deputy assistant secretary for management at the agency.
