Skin & Allergy News, Nov, 2008
The HandSpa is designed exclusively for photorejuvenation of the skin on the backs of the hands and fingers. Clients place their hands under the device's intense red and amber lights for a 10-minute session in the office of a skin care professional. Cosmetically optimal wavelengths of 590 nm, 625 nm, and 940 nm are delivered by light-emitting diodes, with variable pulsation intervals. The hands rest on a disposable paper insert during the session. The lights increase collagen production and diminish fine lines and veins.
