* Praxair Inc., Danbury, CT, has notified its U.S. merchant customers of a carbon dioxide price increase of 20 percent, consistent with the terms and conditions of customer contacts. The price increase is being implemented in view of targeted actions to improve carbon dioxide supply system reliability.
These actions include supply and demand optimization, additional rail and truck capabilities, and increasing capacity at several key production facilities.
