* Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc., Cleveland, OH, has announced net income of $19.2 million (45 cents per diluted share) for the 2001 third quarter, compared with $15.7 million (37 cents per diluted share) reported in the year ago period. Excluding a non-recurring after tax charge of $2.8 million, net income would have been 44 cents per share in 2000.
The company reported sales in the quarter of $239.9 million ($159.9 million in U.S. sales), compared with $251.2 million ($167.4 million in U.S. sales) in the year ago quarter.
