Welding Design & Fabrication, December, 2002

Genesis Systems Group, Davenport, IA, an integrator of robotic welding and cutting systems, was awarded a U.S. patent on its Quick Change Tooling. The system offers rapid tool changeover for optimal machine utilization and maximum throughput. The design offers a one-step process to release the tool from the positioner, making it ready for changeover.

A reapeatable, self-alignment system reduces wear and eliminates the need for precision alignment due to moving, bumping, or the initial workcell set up.
