Healtheon/WebMD Corp., based in Atlanta, and HNC Software Solutions, of Irvine, Calif., have announced an agreement that will enable property/casualty insurers and providers to process and manage medical claims via the Intenet, replacing the costly, traditional paper-based system. Under the agreement, the companies also will work together to identify healthcare providers who see the majority of property and casualty injury claimants, and offer Healtheon/WebMD subscription services to connect these providers to the Internet.
