Insurance Services Office has updated its NetMap for Claims data analysis and visualization software for identifying and combating fraud.
NetMap for Claims Version 4.0 sifts through data to uncover bidden connections among claims that share common characteristics, such as names, Social Security numbers, and vehicle identification numbers. The program can gain access to data from insurers' internal databases, as well as the ISO ClaimSearch anti-fraud database system, producing a graphic picture of data relationships.
Version 4 also includes new data comparison fields and red flag features. The internal fraud detection component focuses on check issuance and payments, in addition to claim activity.
