We have all seen them: hail storms that precipitate floods of vinyl siding damage claims. Claim after claim is filed, and extensive time and money are spent wrapping homes or replacing the siding on one side, even on those with as few as four or five holes. Again this season, we may experience dramatic weather conditions which will cause an increase in property claims due to strong winds, fallen tree branches, and hail.

Historically, a vast amount has been paid out each year by the property and casualty insurance industry for replacement of damaged vinyl siding. The yearly figures are swollen by homeowners with hidden agenda (new siding), the lack of valid repair, or guidelines requiting the replacement of more than one piece when exact color or grain matches...
