The Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors recently elected new officers. James E. Wood was named president of the organization. He succeeds Kenneth Weinbrecht, who will serve as immediate past president.

Also among those named to serve are Norman L. Leblanc, executive vice president; George J. (Jim) Sepel, secretary/treasurer; William A. Fredell, membership vice president; Peggy Feakes, education vice president; Perry T. Brummett, public relations vice president; George A. Gallup, testing vice president; and Hans J. Andersen, meeting and convention vice president.
