High and numerous taxes in New South Wales (NSW) may lead businesspeople to take their business elsewhere. Most Australian state governments will shortly deliver tax cuts when their 2005-06 State Budgets take effect on 1 July. The NSW Government has made few reforms, retaining high insurance, payroll and land taxes. The Queensland Government has cut several business taxes, making it an attractive migration destination for business.
