May 30, 2006 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Some Australian banks are extending more credit to customers usually regarded as higher risk. On 31 May 2006, the ANZ Bank will launch a micro-credit loan, developed in association with charity, Brotherhood of St Laurence. In April, National Australia Bank launched a $A30 million program with charity, Good Shepherd, offering low-interest and no-interest loans.
