Broadband rival tries to undercut Telstra.

Apr 10, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- An Australian consortium of telcos has promised lower prices for a broadband network than its rival. Analysts are sceptical about the Singtel Optus-led G9 group's assurances to the Australian Government that it will offer wholesale access for as little as $A21 a month. The figure is close to half of that recommended by rival Telstra. Industry experts believe that the G9 project's investment returns of up to 10 per cent will not allow for possible risks.
