Tax agents strain under MYOB problems.
Australasian Business Intelligence, July, 2001
Jul 26, 2001 (The Australian Financial Review
ABIX via COMTEX) -- Another MYOB tax software update will be released on 27 July 2001 in response to the problems experienced by software users. However, many Australian tax agents have informed the Australian Taxation Office that they may miss the 13 August deadline for submission of business activity statements, as a result of using the popular MYOB software. Many MYOB users have already abandoned the software for other options. There is a general understanding among users of the difficulties known by software manufacturers in quickly releasing software to meet alterations in tax requirements. However, MYOB support is considered to be lacking.
