, but did well at school and eventually enrolled to study law at the London School of Economics. He supported himself by working as a part-time window dresser at Jones, a trendy fashion outlet in Chelsea, while he was a student, and it was here that his interest in fashion surfaced. Even before he graduated as a lawyer, he knew that his heart was not in it, but he completed his course nonetheless and then set off to travel.
