Bosses deaf to alarm bells over ring of confidence.
Australasian Business Intelligence, August, 2001

ABIX via COMTEX) -- Employers have little trust in their bosses and their employers could hardly care less. So claims a new study by the Australian Institute of Management and Monash University. The study found that managers across a wide range of businesses ranked staff trust as one of their lowest priorities. It also found that larger businesses have more difficulty engendering employee trust, with smaller businesses consistently showing higher job satisfaction, trust and loyalty outcomes. Study director, James Sarros, says trust is important in creating a positive and productive work environment, and corporate leaders need a dramatic change in attitude.
