Sep 20, 2001 (The Age
ABIX via COMTEX) -- A senior auditor with Ernst & Young has criticised the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB). Accounting and audit national director, David Boymal, said the board lacked a clear strategy for harmonising domestic accounting standards with those of the International Accounting Standards Board. Professor Boymal is a former deputy chairman of the AASB. He has described the AASB's policy direction as "very woolly", saying that it is changing constantly.
