Telstra to video stream rules.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australia's largest telco, Telstra, says it has secured a five-year Internet deal with the Australian Football League (AFL). Telstra is believed to have paid up to $A30m for the exclusive rights to broadcast footage online using video streaming and wireless technology from 1 January 2002. The partnership with the AFL will help satisfy Telstra's appetite for content and increase subscriptions to its high-speed Internet service. Telstra chief executive, Ziggy Switkowski, said the deal will include, among other things, match broadcasts, behind-the-scenes interviews, training session highlights and live online chats with AFL players. Scores and team list data will be transmitted to mobile telephones....
