Murdoch's stock grant worth slides.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- News Corporation's top executives took home generous salary packages in 2000-01, despite's the stock's decline. According to the media' giant's annual report, the chairman, Rupert Murdoch, earned $US7.6 million, while the president, Peter Chernin, took home $US16 million in salary and bonuses, plus a stock option grant valued at $US4.1 million. The chief executive of Fox News Channel, Roger Ailes, was the company's third-highest-paid executive.
