ABIX via COMTEX) -- The glass ceiling remains an issue for female executives and women in the workforce in Australia. The former Australian sex discrimination commissioner, Susan Halliday, says that the increase in the number of female directors on company boards to 10 is mainly through a number of women taking up a number of board positions. TMP Worldwide research found that 43 of management respondents do not believe that women should expect to retain the same level of seniority when they return from maternity leave.
