October, 2001 (My Business
ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian small business owners should invest in online learning for themselves and their staff members. Online learning is a part of knowledge management and represents a shortcut to "upskilling". According to International Data Corporation, the worldwide corporate electronic learning market will grow to $US23bn by 2004. Electronic learning is essentially distance learning via the Internet. It is a virtual meeting place for the interaction of learners and coaches. While set-up costs of online training can be higher than for face-to face training, the ongoing costs are lower.
