Grass roots scandal.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- A Victorian pensioner, Bridget Groves, claims that the ABC "poached" her idea. In 1990 Groves submitted a synopsis to the ABC for a new political satire she called "Grass Roots." Groves was told that, although the idea was sound, the script was too short for a television series episode. In 2000, the ABC produced its own series of political satire programs titled "Grass Roots." Series co-producer, Eastway Communications, attributed the original concept and original scripts to others in a letter sent to Groves' solicitors in October 2000.
