ABIX via COMTEX) -- One of Australia's most aggressive retailers has attacked the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC). Addressing the AGM of Harvey Norman Holdings, chairman Gerry Harvey said the ACCC's 500 employees were pursuing a "vendetta" against companies that refused to "roll over", after being accused of breaching competition laws. The ACCC has been investigating the furniture and electronics chain over alleged "bait advertising", an illegal ploy luring in shoppers with offers on discounted lines who are then sold other full-price products.
