PMP in merger analysis.

Nov 30, 2001 (The Australian
ABIX via COMTEX) -- A second attempt at a merger between PMP and The Independent Print Media Group (IPMG) may be near fruition. PMP, the listed Australian publishing and printing company, has advised the Australian Stock Exchange that "preliminary and incomplete" discussions were being held with the privately owned IPMG. An earlier attempt to merge, in May 2001, was thwarted by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. PMP would not proceed with the merger if it increased its debt.
