ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Securities Institute of Australia's Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance seems to be gaining popularity in 2001. There are a number of other institutions offering a Master of Applied Finance or similar - such as Australian National University, Curtin University of Technology, Macquarie University, Monash University, the University of Queensland and the University of New South Wales. The prices to gain further educational training vary immensely. For instance, you could elect to pay the Australian Stock Exchange $A80 for an online advanced course in securities or part with $A20,000 (if you are an Australian or New Zealand permanent resident) for Macquarie's Master of Applied Finance.
