ASIC wants $50m from One.Tel boss.

Australasian Business Intelligence, December, 2001

Dec 13, 2001 (The Daily Telegraph

ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) is seeking $A50 million from four ex-One.Tel directors. It has also lodged an application with the Supreme Court of New South Wales for Jodee Rich, Bradley Keeling, Mark Silberman and John Greaves to be temporarily banned from managerial or directorial positions. ASIC has charged the four men with breaching their duties as officers of the failed telecommunications group. It is claiming $A50 million in compensation to cover the weeks between March and May 2001, when One.Tel's shares plunged. Rich denies the claims.
