Children's GUI a hit with adults.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- Simplicity in web design is an absolute necessity. Many designers forget that the sites they create will be used by people who are not always hyper text mark-up language (HTML) literate. The popularity of Max's Sandbox shows that computer users demand programs that are simple and easy to use. Max's Sandbox was devised as an intuitive introduction for children to the Microsoft Office suite, but adults found it very appealing as well. The software was developed by eWord Development, and the South Australian Department of Education, Training & Employment. It will be presented at an education exhibition in Great Britain in January 2001, and, later, at the "World Congress on IT&T Business Forum" in Australia.
