ATR bags regional ratings.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- ATR Australia provides television ratings in urban Australia. In early 2002, it won a tender to supply audience measurement ratings for regional free-to-air television networks in rural areas of key Australian states. The areas are Queensland, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and Tasmania. It fought off rivals ACNielsen and Taylor Nelson Sofres. ATR will begin its audience measurement in 2003 and it will slightly increase the number of homes in the sample. The winner of the pay television tender will be announced later in 2002.
