ABIX via COMTEX) -- The performance of stocks in Verizon Wireless will be watched by telecommunications firms around the world. As well as that telecommunications share issue proposed for the US, there is also the Nextel Partners and AT&T Wireless share issue to take place in 2002. Cingular Wireless also has potential to release a share issue. An analyst for Renaissance Capital, Randall Roth, says that the decisions of the US Government concerning telecommunications will be a short-term factor for the industry. The value of the proposed initial public offering (IPO) is $US5bn. Verizon Wireless is the wireless communications operations spun off by Verizon Communications.
