Pall remains over business investment.
Australasian Business Intelligence, January, 2002
Jan 7, 2002 (The Australian Financial Review
ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has conducted a new survey. The results of the survey, released on 6 January 2002, showed that prospects for business investment in Australia remained weak for the first six months of 2002. The ACCI's Index of Economic Activity found that investment intentions in the first quarter of 2002 were 43.5, down from 46.2 in the last quarter of 2001. Nevertheless, the ACCI found that the Australian economy was performing relatively well in relation to the rest of the world.
