Start trading futures on the ASX.
Australasian Business Intelligence, January, 2002
February, 2002 (Shares
ABIX via COMTEX) -- On 30 January 2002, futures trading will commence on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). The ASX futures market will boast state-of-the-art trading and clearing systems. The first contracts to be listed will be the ASX Mini 200 and the ASX Mini 50, which will provide exposure to the Standard & Poor's (S&P) ASX 200 stock price index and the S&P ASX 50 index, the most important indices on the exchange. The development means that the ASX will be a marketplace where shares, options, warrants and equity-based futures contracts can be traded.
