ABIX via COMTEX) -- The CSIRO has had continuing trials of genetically modified food crops in the Australian Capital Territory approved. The trials, approved by the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator, are jointly funded by the CSIRO and the Grains Research & Development Corporation. Neither trial currently has plants in the ground. The trials involve barley and wheat strains.
