No change to Mazda after Nasser departure, says Mark Fields.

ABIX via COMTEX) -- The CEO of Mazda Motor Corporation, Mark Fields, says the company has not been affected by the departure of Jac Nasser from Ford. Fields told an industry briefing in Melbourne that it is too early to judge Nasser's legacy, but that it was evident that the company would go in a different direction without Nasser at its head. Fields was keen to emphasis the need for Mazda to produce results and that his interest was in motivating a team to achieve this. Fields says the company's Millennium Plan, released in November 2000, is still relevant and that his vision for the company is as a Japanese business that manufactures and markets "aspirational products".
