ABIX via COMTEX) -- Computer security continues to be a problem for many companies around the world. The United States Computer Emergency Response Team Co-ordination Center claims the number of computer bugs, that could lead to serious damage, lifted by 124 per cent in 2001, compared with 2000. There are also estimates that companies based in the US spent around $US12.3bn in 2001 fixing damage caused by computer viruses. Despite these figures, software companies are still getting it wrong.
